"Sisters don’t need words. They have perfected a language of snarls and smiles and frowns and winks – expressions of shocked surprise and incredulity and disbelief. Sniffs and snorts and gasps and sighs – that can undermine any tale you’re telling." ~ Unknown
Kendall (camera left), the big sister in this family radiates sunshine wherever she goes. I can't help but laugh when she tells her stories...and she is a pro at telling stories from our east coast heritage way of telling stories...well, you need to be patient and have time to get to the end as it is often a long drawn out version, but worth the telling and the listening.
And then there's Kelly, a bit of an punk personality and fun to hang around with. Just to get her to smile makes my heart jump with joy. She is a bright-eyed adventurous spirit.
Kendall lives in Prince George just north of my place, and Kelly lives with my sister in Sooke. Kendall and I can't wait to fly down together for a visit with our sisters. Don't know for sure when, just know we will soon. And we'll make a group photo of the four of us! Yes, we must!
Below are a few behind-the-scenes shots getting ready for the main shoot. These two remarkable young ladies are my nieces. And it amazes me that they are all grown up now! How can that be? These two are sisters were born seven years apart. This year has been a year of change for each of them. I can't wait to hear about their journeys and add them to my Sisters Project!
I want to celebrate sisterhood by creating a beautiful coffee table book of gorgeous photos of wonderful sisters! It will be of sisters and their stories. From young to ageless, it doesn't matter.
To submit for consideration to be part of this project, please click on the form button, fill in a few details, answer a few questions, and I will be in touch! If you and your sister are selected to participate, there will be a $50 non-refundable fee to hold your spot, and this will become a print credit towards product purchases from the session.
Once the book is finished, let's all get together and have a party! So who wants to be photographed by me and become part of my book? All you need is a willing sister (she has to be your sister!) and a day to play with me. I'm looking forward to meeting you both!
