"Because the greatest part of a road trip isn't arriving at your destination. It's all the wild stuff that happens along the way. ~ Emma Chase
I have wanted to photograph these two lovely ladies for a long time and was thrilled when they submitted their forms! I had photographed Laurel a few years ago when she played flag football but it wasn't until I captured the two of them sitting on the suitcases in the dusty road did I realize that this session was what I had waited for. The feeling of deja vu gave me chills when I showed them some of the images on the back of my camera when we were almost done. It was like I had been in that moment before.
And they were so much fun! With the help of my friend, Nancy, we moved all around their parents' and grandparents' farms, sitting on hay bales and old trucks. And we had such amazing light at the end of the day! We even played with a few props and beads to add to their road-tripping theme. These young ladies have many more great adventures awaiting them. Sisters who travel together have a great time and I'm sure they are planning a new adventure now.
Below are a few images and some from the session. Sarah and Laurel were so much fun to photograph as part of my Sisters Project!
I want to celebrate sisterhood by creating a beautiful coffee table book of gorgeous photos of wonderful sisters! It will be of sisters and their stories. From young to ageless, it doesn't matter.
To submit for consideration to be part of this project, please click on the form button, fill in a few details, answer a few questions, and I will be in touch! If you and your sister are selected to participate, there will be a $50 non-refundable fee to hold your spot, and this will become a print credit towards product purchases from the session.
Once the book is finished, let's all get together and have a party! So who wants to be photographed by me and become part of my book? All you need is a willing sister (she has to be your sister!) and a day to play with me. I'm looking forward to meeting you both!
