“The most important thing is to enjoy your life—to be happy—it's all that matters.” ~ Audrey Hepburn
Forty-something is a busy time for women raising families. Adele and Colinda are no exception. I really appreciated that they were able to take few hours to be part of my Sisters Project a few weeks ago at Adele's farm in the beautiful Buckhorn area. As we strolled from hay bales to horse pasture to cow pasture, we chatted. That's how I found out that they both work with children, which didn't surprise me. Their kind hearts and sisterly affection towards each other was evident in their every move. It amazes me the similarities I see in their eyes, their expressions and even the way they smile.
The day was partly cloudy, nice for no harsh shadows, and warm enough to find several different locations to shoot. My favourite spot was in the cow pasture where they sat on the fence while I maneuvered around the cow patties and curious cows who wandered about.
Although the snow looks inviting enough for snow angels, there were some areas that were in need of some photoshopping out of some ''presents" scattered about. I wonder what Adele and Colinda actually thought when I commented on how much I love the smell of cows!
I want to celebrate sisterhood by creating a beautiful coffee table book of gorgeous photos of wonderful sisters! It will be of sisters and their stories. From young to ageless, it doesn't matter.
To submit for consideration to be part of this project, please click on the form button, fill in a few details, answer a few questions, and I will be in touch! If you and your sister are selected to participate, there will be a $50 non-refundable fee to hold your spot, and this will become a print credit towards product purchases from your session.
Once the book is finished, let's all get together and have a party! So who wants to be photographed by me and become part of my book? All you need is a willing sister (she has to be your sister!) and a day to play with me. I'm looking forward to meeting you both!
