"Dolly and I have each other - and we take on the world knowing that." ~ Jeanie
These two women are ten years apart in age and inseparable every chance they get. I had such a great time photographing these remarkable ladies as part of my Sisters Project in October. A late afternoon session in the fall is a favourite time to photograph someone and I'm glad we had such gorgeous day! It was immediately apparent to me the wonderful connection they have with each other.
They both love animals and travel and are raising beautiful daughters. New puppies at home too. Loving life and keeping busy!
At the end of a busy week they used to meet for a beer date when Jeanie was still in Prince George. Now that they are living in different provinces they still talk together, hanging out on their own couches, drinking a glass of wine and solving the world's problems together. Amazing what women can accomplish over a glass of wine!
Their mom and dad have passed, but they keep them close in their hearts. With the water still low at the river it was a perfect spot to transport their special crystal rock in my cart to the water's edge. And thankful that Dolly was able to lift it to the water! It was pretty heavy but meant so much to them to have it in their photo session.
I want to celebrate sisterhood by creating a beautiful coffee table book of gorgeous photos of wonderful sisters! It will be of sisters and their stories. From young to ageless, it doesn't matter.
To submit for consideration to be part of this project, please click on the form button, fill in a few details, answer a few questions, and I will be in touch! If you and your sister are selected to participate, there will be a $50 non-refundable fee to hold your spot, and this will become a print credit towards product purchases from the session.
Once the book is finished, let's all get together and have a party! So who wants to be photographed by me and become part of my book? All you need is a willing sister (she has to be your sister!) and a day to play with me. I'm looking forward to meeting you both!
