I'm a photographer based in Prince George, in the Hart area. You know, the place where the snow stays three weeks longer than downtown, right?
I'm self-taught with a sincere passion for all things photographic - beautiful light, big and little people and animals, and beautiful spaces, both indoors and outside. Stress brings me down so I love keeping things simple in life and on set. No matter the size of the project I always bring the same passion and dedication to each individual job. I make it my priority to ensure everyone goes home happy!
Being an Accredited member of Professional Photographers of Canada since 2010, I have won several awards and have work in the Loan Collection. Rather than bore you with the details you can read about my accomplishments here.
So enough about me. What brought you to me? Are you searching for a professional photographer to work with you to capture a fabulous memory such as a family reunion, engagement, anniversary, special event, or private portraiture session?
If you're looking for a FAMILY PORTRAIT experience, you've come to the right place. I believe that family is the most important thing in my world. And I believe that portraits should hang on the walls for children to know they are valued every single day. That's why I also believe in print.
My HEADSHOT SESSIONS are fun too! It doesn't have to be stuffy in a studio. I try to keep mine pretty tidy, and it's always set up ready to go so no waiting around while I fiddle with lighting and gear. We can also get some great shots outdoors in this beautiful city in any season! Are you up for it?
So this section is just to let you know what I am up to now!
Headshots - I love to bring out the personality of my client! Working one-on-one in my studio, getting to know him or her better as we go through the flow of different poses to get just the right shot, is the kind of session I very much enjoy! Outdoor sessions are also available allowing us to create more of a series of images my clients can use throughout the year.
Family Portraits - I'm focusing on a few more family sessions this year. Why? Because they are fun and challenging at the same time. I love creating products like albums and matted prints for framing that friends and families will cherish. Have you ever put an old family photo album on a table and opened it up when a child was near? Try it sometime. Tell them who those people are, and where they are. Kids love it! And adults too! When I visited my now 83-year-old aunt a few years ago, one of the first things we did was go through her recent albums to catch up on the family.
Real Estate photography - I really enjoy photographing interiors, and besides shooting for a few realtors who love my work, I'm doing a few commercial shoots for out-of-town companies that need great images for their annual reports and brochures.
Nature and Landscape Photography - Bears again this spring, then onto birds! Lots of them! Birds are my biggest challenge, trying to get sharp images of them. They're so fast! And Auroras, bridges, anything that catches my eye while travelling.
Gardening - My yard's a mess! But hopefully not for long. Now that I no longer have a day job, I can concentrate on my photography business and spruce up my yard, whatever I feel inspired to do when not working with a client.
